The founder of the company, Dina Gezahegn, started selling sugar cane and other petty trading in eastern zone of Ethiopia in 1996, and then he expanded his business by buying and selling sheep in the domestic market. In addition to this, He also further expands his business in buying & selling of cattle. In 2012 he started the cattle fattening and export business which he found to be very productive and he generate a significant amount of foreign currency to the country. After all his effort Dina was successful and recognized as one of the major live cattle exporter in Ethiopia.
Our main export destinations are Middle East countries. Besides, the company also engage in the importation of heavy duty truck business.
As part of a business diversification, Dina Investment group has expanded his business to food processing plant that engaged in cereal processing and infant foods which is well recognized as producers of wheat flour having witnessed and consumption of in the domestic market.
To further diversify, Dina Investment group establishes an animal feed processing plant with 120 tons of animal feed production per day.
To expand the export business Dina investment group has engage in Coffee & Tea export beginning in 2021.

1996
Founded by Mr. Dina Gezahegn as a sugar cane trading business in Ethiopias eastern zone, laying the foundation for our commitment to agricultural value chains
2000
Expanded into import-export operations, trading goods such as automotives, construction machinery, and live animals, establishing a reputation for reliability in local and international markets.
2019
Launched Dina Food Processing in Awash Melkasa, Oromia, with a 200 million Birr
investment. The 30,000 m2 facility began producing 820 quintals of flour daily, marking a significant milestone in our food processing journey.
2021
Established Dina Animal Feed Processing in Addis Ababas Akaki Kality Subcity with a 50 million Birr investment, producing 120 tons of livestock feed daily using 97.5% local raw materials.
2023
Diversified into beer distribution and hospitality with Dina Beer Distribution and Dina Inn Hotel & Restaurant, strengthening our presence in Ethiopias retail and tourism sectors.
2025
Received recognition from His Excellency Ato Melaku Alebel, Minister of Industry, during a visit to our Dina Food Processing facility, accompanied by H.E. Ahmed Idiris, Head of Oromia Investment Bureau, and H.E. Hailu Jalde, Mayor of Adama City, affirming our contributions to Ethiopias industrial growth.
